Online Platforms Reaction Countless users and merchants are posting online saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed due to the recalibration. The platform stated the revised method more closely matches similar services. The platform has recommended to examine their items and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, which has left users frustrated. Sizing System Updates Earlier, the measurements included one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Accounts One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as larger sizing 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she stated. Required Changes A different user, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item". "This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
